How much will it cost?

The cost of a video tribute, photo montage, or memorial project is $99, plus $10 S&H, for up to 50 photos and $2/photo for every photo over 50 ($1.50/photo if the photos do not require scanning; i.e., digital photos). Additional DVD copies of the project are $15/each.

Film transfer: 8mm, Super 8mm, and 16mm charges are based on a rate of $0.22/foot plus $15 for each DVD needed to hold the transferred film. An opening title, if desired, is included in the cost; however, additional charges will apply for captioning, music, and the addition of still photos to the completed production. There is also a $10 shipping and handling fee.

Please contact us for an estimate on web site development, 35mm slide conversions, and VHS transfers.

We require a down payment equal to 50% of the estimated cost to begin work on a production. The remainder is due upon completion of the project. We accept checks, credit cards, and PayPal.

NJ sales tax will be applied to all orders shipped to a New Jersey address.

It's a great idea but how do I get started?

  1. Choose your photographs

Candid photos are always best. For tributes chronicling a person's life, consider choosing photos that include friends & family. Involve friends & family: We have found that the emotional impact of the tribute is greatly enhanced when loved ones have contributed their favorite photos to the project.

  1. Sort the photos

If you'd like photos to appear in a certain order, write the sequence number on the back (use a post-it if you like). Also, note any specific captions needed and if the photo and/or caption needs to coincide to a specific point in the music.

  1. Select the music

Choose music that will set the appropriate tone for the tribute.

Please note: As a general rule of thumb, each photo will take an average of 4 to 5 seconds to display and transition. This will give you an idea of how many photos will be needed in relation to the length of the music selected.

I'm interested in having the completed production available on the internet; is this possible?

Yes, We can provide that access, for as long as you'd like, via a private link known only to you and whomever you'd wish to share it with. The cost is $15/month. Keep in mind though, completed projects can be extremely large and download time can quickly become a limiting factor. This option is best suited for small projects, such as a virtual home tour.

Each project is unique in its own way so give us a call to discuss your individual needs and available options.

What the heck does Aiki mean?

The word Aiki is made up of two Japanese characters: Ai (pronounced "eye"), which means combine or harmony, and Ki (pronounced "key"), which means spirit, mind or universal energy. Thus Aiki may literally be interpreted as "In harmony with the universe." However, Aiki may also be interpreted as "accommodation to circumstances" which, although somewhat non-standard, is the interpretation we identified with when naming this company.
